The Pay Equity Coalition supports the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) which will be on the back of all New York State resident’s ballots this November 5. Vote YES! The NYS Attorney General announced, “The ERA was advanced to protect access to abortion care, enshrine this basic right in our constitution, and protect people from discrimination. We will continue to do everything in our power to protect these rights and ensure everyone can live safely and freely in the great State of New York.”

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— On this edition of Rochester In Focus, Lynette Adams sits down with local leaders of the Rochester Pay Equity Coalition. The coalition commemorated October 21, or Latina Women’s Pay Day. A Latina female has to work for 22 months to equal what a white male makes in 12 months. It’s a spirited conversation with a co-founder of the coalition Yversha Roman and two members: Sasha Mitchell and Samantha Parisi. You won’t want to miss the poignant conversation.
